Searching through the supermarket websites the only true Gluten Free Beer we can find is Greens Discovery Beer which is available (see below link) through Ocado
Wheat Free Beer is a bit easier - many lagers contain Barley and so are Wheat Free (but do contain Gluten). Examples of Wheat Free Lagers are
- Corona Extra
- Carlsberg
- Becks
- Budweiser
Hi guys -
Thanks for the great coverage you gave to the FreeFromFood awards in May - much appreciated. Have only just found your blog and have now added a link from the Foods Matter site - see http://www.foodsmatter.com/links_non_food/blogs.html
Any chance that you could add links to Foods Matter (http://wwww.foodsmatter.com) and, ideally, to the awards site (http://www.freefromfoodawards.co.uk)?
Would be much appreciated -
Best - Michelle
We shall shortly be selling gluten free beer via our website, I have really missed my gluten free lager since I was diagnosed with coeliac disease 6 years ago and this is very good.
A website like this would have been useful back then too but I am not overly impressed with supermarket products and I try to eat only stuff that is naturally gluten free and avoid processed foods as far as possible.
We are the sole distributer for three gluten free lagers and beers, a great fresh tasting organic one called Schnitzer Brau, if you would like to order some or find out more, please e-mail me on Vicky@mynaturesmaid.com or you can visit the site as www.mynaturesmaid.com
